Ben Loewen qualified for the next round for the first time in his school life by winning both those events. Jackson was a close second in the 1500m after leading the majority of the race. He also finished 3rd in the 800m meaning he will get to challenge Ben again at the South Conference Championship on June 9th. Lucy Carpenter was the other winner, winning the grade 6 girls 1500m by 8 seconds. On May 18th, Grade 7's, Dominic Temple and Fiona Pavlovska both finished 2nd in close races. In a fast grade 7 girls race, Reese Morgan used her personal best speed to finish in a great 2nd place position. Fiona and Kalsia Rice contested the 800m, with Kalsia finishing in 5th to qualify for the Conference final.
