Canadian Masters Outdoor Championships and Boardwalk RC Record

Four members of Boardwalk RC made the trip to the two day CMA (Canadian Masters Athletics) Championship event in St. Catherines hosted by the Niagara Olympic Club. All four members had their sights set on the same events, Fridays 1500m and Saturdays 800m.

The big story for Boardwalk from this edition of the Championships was Tanya Sakharov bettering a 22 year old record in the 1500m. The old mark was 5:13.13, Tanya raced incredibly well and lowered the record by a little over 5 seconds. Her time was 5:07.89. 

Five of our eight entries resulted in National Championships.
