MTA Indoor Championship 2016

The David McKendrick Indoor Championship meet at York University marks the conclusion of a successful indoor season. Boardwalk RC trained and inspired 24 athletes to compete in various track and field events.

At the Championship meet Boardwalk athletes set 20 new personal bests! They won 5 Provincial championship medals. And set one age group record.

Tyke Natalie Burrows was a double medal winner. She placed 3rd in the 200m in a personal best time of 34.79, good for 3rd place. To top that she earned a silver medal in the 60m hurdles, also clocking a personal best time in the final of 11.90.

Atom Josh Chapman had a strong season in the hurdle events. He brought home Bronze at the championship. His time in the final was 11.41sec.

Mite Chloe Pilz showed her best 400m stuff at the championship. She also ran a personal best time of 1:23.17 to win Silver ate this meet.

And last but definitely not least was the Gold medal and age group record that Fiona Pavlovska set for 13 year olds in the 800m race walk event. Her time of 4:31.02 was 10 seconds better then the previous mark.
